Hi Connie, This is something I have been giving some thought. I usually put my free apps on my website (genscriber.com), and they are free for anyone to download. But, with this application, I wanted to give it only to this group. The problem is that this group is public. So, I was going to email the download link only to members who had asked for it. I have been trying to think of an easier way that I can make it accessible to this group and not the general public, but a private emailed link was the only way I could think of. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm listening. By the way, The good news is, I now have a working version, and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. I am running some tests. It shouldn't be too long now. The bad news. There will not be a Mac version. When you have it made, do you think it would be possible to put it on line so all those interested (including me!) could get it and you wouldn't have to send it to everybody? I'm using Windows XP. This morning the Desktop has a white bar about an inch or so wide running down the left side of the screen. It has names of all the folders on my machine. The blue part of the window still has the regular desk top icons and looks the same as it had. Why did this suddenly appear and does anyone know a solution to removing it? It doesn't necessarily hinder me getting into any of the folders on the blue Desktop but I don't want the white bar running down the left side of the window. Thanks juanita ks
Les, I, too, would appreciate having this, as well. I thank you very much for being willing to share your creativity that applies to making things easier for yourself. (Aren’t you the one who made available to us a nice, succinct relationship calculator? I use that more often than I thought I would, and am grateful for it.) Perhaps you could make another email adress (yahoo lets you have a number ot "throwaway email addys) and those who want a copy of your program could send an email there. That would generate a new address book for you of all those interested, and you could send out one email with the entire list attached. Any questions people may have could also be addressed by sending them to that address. Or open a free yahoo group - it's easy, I've done it before - and make it a closed group. Just some ideas. Oh, I also would love a copy of the program when you're ready to send it out. Thanks!!! If anyone has any suggestions, I'm listening.

Les, while I am just learning to use Excel I would like a copy of your application, please. It just might make the learning curve a bit easier. I was waiting to see if it would be available to the entire list as well, but if that is not possible...please add me to your list. Thanks. Please put me on the list also. Les, this sounds like something I would love to use. I have tried to put family information from my search into a spread sheet using my excel but it is just not working as well as I would like. Please do add me to your list of users. Nancy On Thu, Dec 29, 2011 at 4:45 AM, richspen <generichspen@gmail.com> wrote: > Yes please. This sounds really interesting.
