Thanks to the comments on this list, I was able to help a little bit (I was helping the Mom, not the kids) figure out the vagaries of "Kindle Owners Library" as well as accessing books through their public library, and the whole "cloud" thing. They have "amazon prime" so more books are free to "borrow." And maybe "keep" -- still unsure about some of that. I'm going to take all the additional information from these emails and post it to them for their use. No, they don't do genealogy, but they sure do read a lot of books! By the bye, the only thing I didn't like about the Kindle Fire is the weight. One of the reasons I'd like a Kindle is that it's easier to read than a large, fat, book. This was no great improvement. 3. Beth, George is right. FLV will not run in Movie Player. It was the AVI I tested in Movie Player. I did so many different formats of the video, I got confused. 3. Hi Beth, I expected some systems may have trouble, so I made it in several formats. Go to http://genscriber.com/support/fs2csv-demo/ There you will find it in AVI, FLV, MP4, MPEG and SWF These are the most common formats. If none of them work, let me know what your system is, and I will work something out. I tested it in XP and Win7 using Movie Player. It could be that your system is automaticaly opening it for editing in 'Move Maker'. I think you may be best using 'Movie Player' instead of 'Move Maker'. Try right-clicking on the file and choosing 'Open with', then choose 'Movie Player' Les Hardy On 03/01/12 16:19, Beth Bowling wrote: > Les, I cannot get this to open and play....I get message "that the file > might be corrupted or in a format that Movie Maker doesn't recognize. It seems that some members are confused about what is does, and how to use it. To clear up any misunderstanding, I have created a short video of it in action. http://genscriber.com/download/download.php?file=fs2csv-demo.flv Regards Les Hardy _____________________________
