    3. If you have a scanner you should be able to scan them and then convert them. I have done this a few times and once scanned convert them using the "negative" conversion of a photo program like Irfanview and it turns them into black & white photos. The colour can then be adjusted or brightness. On 09/02/2013 12:51 PM, Regina Pipes wrote: > I have been given many black and white negatives. I would so love to be > able to see who all is on them. If there are some you want to keep and some you know you want to delete I use Windows Live Mail and there is a place by each email to check so you can move it to a folder, delete it etc. I just check the box by the ones I know I dont intend to open and then hit delete and all the checked ones will be gone...Bobbie > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Date: Fri, 8 Feb 2013 17:38:18 -0800 > Subject: Re: [GN] Windows Live Mail > > I’ve been looking for it. I hope in the next few days I can do the tutorial. That will help a lot. Again, thank you all. 3. Frances, thank you so much for asking this question. I, too, really need the answer. And thank you, Connie, for replying, especially with so much encouragement. I really love that word SURE!! How many messages can you delete at one time? 2000? 1500? (And, where do you find “edit” to click on it? Please don’t laugh too uproariously. I have looked all over, and I really just cannot find it.) At times after clicking on home and delete, I can go down the inbox list and just keep clicking on delete. Other times when I click on delete my screen changes and I must hit the red x in the upper right hand corner and thern it gives me the incoming list of emails again. How can I keep it so that I may just go down the list and hit delete without without the screen changing? ******************** Gen-Newbie's website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~newbie/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    1. [GN] Delete vs. uninstall
    2. Cora Henricks
    3. Linda is not the first in the last day or so to use "delete'' word when I think she means "uninstall". So, will anyone/everyone who is not sure of the difference please study up on the difference, as it is important and the using the correct term for what you actually want to do/did will give helpers a better idea of what you may have gotten yourself into (or not)...... Googling "uninstall vs. delete" provided this site, amongst others: http://www.coloradohitechsolutions.com/facts-tips-info/uninstall-vs-delete.htm Cora ========= Linda wrote AVG 11 wanted to up date so I clicked yes just as a free trial offer for 13 > popped up.After the 30 days was up ?I went to control panel and deleted it. > AVG 11?is gone and?I can't download a new free verison of AVG.It downloads > in a bunch of folders/files,plus Internet Explore is not working normal, it > want open mail or anything on my favoite list.I can close it out and it > will work then.? > Is there another virus program that's good? 1. Re: [GN] Delete vs. uninstall
    2. Joy Gulden
    3. Cora is correct. There is a big difference between delete and uninstall. If it is a program you need to uninstall or you will not get rid of all the files the program uses. I cannot remember if Linda was answered, but here is the link to the FREE AVG. Look at the page and scroll down for the download button. http://free.avg.com/us-en/free-antivirus-download All of these places are tricky. They would rather have you get the paid version. You need to really check what you are clicking on to be sure you get what you want. THEN, once you download and install, be sure to read the questions asked when installing the program. I think that is where people get the different tool bars and programs they really do not want. Some installations ask - do you want ??? and we never read, just click yes.
