I had absolutely none of that trouble Woody and I do have the single program, Photo Retoucher, which works beautifully. I even mentioned it on my Facebook page to qualify for the free upgrade for life. I am sorry about what happened to you, but it did not come from PhotoRetoucher, something else crept in there. I would write to the developers if you still want their program and ask what happened. I think they are pretty responsive. Elaine Books have the same enemies as people: fire, humidity, animals, weather, and their own content. --Paul Valery Hello Woody On Tuesday, March 5, 2013, you wrote > This giveaway, PHOTO RETOUCHER, looked like > just what I needed, and so > I downloaded. please can you tell me how to get rid of bling and have search instead Doreen
I will assume you mean "bing" which is internet explorers default search engine. One of the things with Bing it is also the the default search engine used on many web pages,,It is usually very prominently displayed on web pages that use it. That doesn't mean you have to use it, but it does lead some to think they have to. First you need to make sure that you have told IE that you want to use another search engine, and again I assume you want to use google. You have to go into IE's control panel and select "manage" add ons. from that menu you need to search for more providers, select your choice and add it to IE. than make that choice your default search engine. The confusion is that even though you have made it the default search engine you will still see Bing being offered on any web page that uses bing for the default. If you have selected and added a different search engine to IE you type your search request in the regular web address box . If you look you should see a G ( for google)in a blue background box, below where you are typing and it will ask you if you want to use suggestions from it,.A lot of the confusion is that if you don't want to use bing when it is offered on a web page you now have to type your search request in the address bar.. Hope this helps George & the SixPAck -----Original Message----- From: doreen wheatley Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2013 8:29 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [GN] bling please can you tell me how to get rid of bling and have search instead Doreen ******************** Gen-Newbie's website: http://www.rootsweb.com/~newbie/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

I have been looking at some of the programs that come with Office 2007. I have been using Office 2003 for years. One of the programs new ot me is Onenote. I would like some of the things it does but everytime I open it it hijacks my print capabilites. I am not sure how to print through Onenote and I don't want every document to go into Onenote. Anyone else have a problem with Onenote? Anyone else know what to do to control Onenote? Nancy
So far, so good. However we did have a problem importing old emails. I needed them because of genealogy info stored in the way of correspondence from others, etc. I answer queries for our genealogy society and there were many emails relative to queries received. I thought my external hard drive backup also would back up emails but it didn't. I have connected the old computer to power along with an old monitor, can get to all my old emails this way and copy and paste into Word information from them. We live and learn, don't we? And there you have it. Shouldn’t they ought to name it something else? How to be confusing. MS might be offering it free as of March, but when I purchased a computer first of Feb Outlook was an option to purchase.
