    3. When the "trash" is emptied, the operating system overwrites a character or two of the title and makes that space occupied by the data to be available to be overwritten by new files. If you are sending files to the trash bin, they are held in reserve so you can recover them until the trash is emptied. Even though the file has been made available to be overwritten, it can still be recovered by using third party utilities that may be able to recover all or part of the file until it is completely overwritten. 3. Thanks to a reader! Elaine --------------------------- Loads of Troubleshooting Help From Microsoft, All In One Place If you're having a problem on your PC, you probably start by searching for the solution with Google. However, a better route (or something to try if Google isn't successful) might be to go straight to Microsoft's web site. The trouble, if course, is knowing where to start, and how to bypass the sales blurb and get straight to the useful info. But here's a good but not well known entry point. Choose the product you need help with, and the specific version of Windows if relevant, and you'll find a friendly menu of common problems and solutions. In many cases, you can even download a special fix file which will solve your problem with a single click. http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/loads-troubleshooting-help-microsoft-all-one-place.htm

    3. I have a strange problem I changed computers last week and used an external backup to import my docs, etc. Learned that the backup did not back up files that were in folders or else they did not import. Fortunately, I also made a CD of my docs folder on the old computer. I am attempting to open the CD to access the docs on the old computer. When I try to open the CD, my docs file on the new computer opens, showing current files. I can’t seem to open the CD to view the files on the CD. Unfortunately I did not make 2 copies of the cd. What am I doing wrong? Wanda

    3. Try using the edit message as new feature. Click on message in the toolbar and then on edit message as new in the drop down menu. Clear the addresses in the to and reply to lines and put in the one you are sending to. 3. I do not know if this might help, since I have my two addresses POPed or IMAPed into Thunderbird, but..... Under Tools Account Settings Check your Composition and Addressing I have mine set to Compose messages in HTML format. Then, under Tools Options Composition General Click on Send Options and under the Text Format, I have it set to send the message in both plain text and HTML. For the Rootsweb lists. I know we were supposed to use Plain Text, so I THINK that takes care of both Plain Text and HTML. As I said, this might not be your problem, but it does not hurt to check. Good luck, Joy On 3/7/2013 2:38 PM, Jerrie wrote: > What settings can I use in Thunderbird to have the photos show in the > email when I Forward it.
