    3. Nancy, you asked this question once before, and like Pat just did, I asked you what program you’re using to write this diary. You didn’t answer. Connie Hi, I am keeping an on-computer diary. I want to put the page number at the top of the page, like this: (2) I am having a HUGE problem with it. The numbers WON'T stay put!!! I hit save as, every time when I'm finished, but when I come the next day, I'll get "(3)" or whatever, in the MIDDLE of the page! What is the trick to make the numbers STAY PUT?? I am getting pretty tired of having to re-arrange numbers every day! Hoping someone can help me with this!

    3. Thanks Yvonne, I think I have removed it. I updated my Malware last night and ran a full scan of my C drive, but it didn't get rid of it. I think I will run another scan of the C drive tonight. If I again have Price Peep, I will suspect the malware is corrupt. 3. What is Price Peeps and Where is it? It keeps popping up with an offer of coupons and hiding half the page I am trying to read. It is not listed as Price Peeps in the list of programs from the Control panel. I would like to get rid of it before I do something drastic. Nancy

    3. Front page had three banner (from left to right edge) headlines; middle one, in largest type of the three was: 2 HERE AMONG 16 DEAD IN RIVER CRASH Excerpts of story in right hand column: M'BRIDE SINKS IN PIER WRECK AT CINCINNATI Robert Kincaid, Hatzell Brown Scioto Victims; Buena Vista Pair Among Rescued Portsmouth and Pond Run men lost their lives and two from Buena Vista were rescued when the G.W. McBride, one of the best known towboats on the Ohio, crashed into a bridge pier in the Cincinnati harbor early sunday with 16 of the crew, 13 men and three women, perishing in the swollen stream, as the boat settled rapidly. . . . The craft, owned by the Ohio River Co. of Huntington, was valued at $53,000 and left that city Friday night with a tow of nine barges of coal for delivery at Cincinnati. Believed still in Boat The bodies of 13 men and three women were believed to still be in the 170-foot that swirling channel waters pinned against the upstream side of the pier near midstream, leaving only a small part above the muddy waters. Ross Smith, a professional diver, volunteered help for today's renewal of an effort to recover the missing. THE DEAD Captain Pater Oliver Lallance, 60, of Ashland. . . . (list of dead followed by discussion of local victims and survivors) (continues on page 3) Captain Peter Lallance, who was among the victims of the towboat, was a cousing (sic) of Mrs. George W. Meixner, 1224 Fourth street, and Mrs. E.C. Taylor, 401 Campbell avenue. Captain Lallance had made frequent visits to local realtives and friends and had been on the Ohio river for many years. . . . (extended discription of actual crash) Captain Edginton, one of six brothers, all river captains, and the son of a river pilot, was at the wheel when the craft went down, and Captian Lallance, the master, was at breakfast, survivors said. . . . Upon learning of the river tragedy, relatives of Captain Peter Lallance hurried to Portsmouth Sunday from Ashland to ge the details from Captain W.D. Kimble of the wharfboat. He conveyed the first information to the relatives that Captain Lallance was among the 16 that perished. "Captain Lallance was about 65 and I had known him all my life," Captain Kimble said. . . . Also have Driver Update. I don’t see how another program can do anymore than those I have. Any suggestion? 2. Nancy, As cautious as I am, I got caught clicking the wrong download button in lieu of the intended one. It was a mess undoing it all. Seems now they have big green download buttons everywhere to fool people for wrong downloads. For correcting your Bellsouth.net, there should be some settings that you can tell it that you're not a spammer to yourself. For Gmail users, as a reminder, Gmail thinks that Rootsweb distributed mail from yourself is spam and not only puts in spam, but actually deletes it. You have to change Gmail filters so that Gmail will accept your own distributed posts from Rootsweb. I put up a "how-to" tutorial on how to do that. The link is in the archives. 3. You don't need any of them, Nancy. Uninstall from the control panel. Some people like Bing, I don't, but it is safe, it's from Microsoft. You probably picked up the other two when you downloaded a program that you wanted and they hitched a ride.
