Joyce, you might look to see if she moved in with a relative such as one husband's family members and census taker assumed she was the wife. Look for children with relatives, aunts, uncles, grandparents, in-laws. I once looked for a family, in that time frame, where the husband had died in 1875 and could not find the wife in 1880. Finally found the four young children farmed out with various relatives and a possibility for the wife (initials) in a nearby poorhouse. Might also check to see if she applied for a pension from her husbands military service. How would their last name have sounded if they had spoken with an accent? Caspar seems like an unusual name, could this be them??? How sure are you of his death date? One of the two right Elaines did! Connie Sorry Elaine, My elevator is not going all the way to the top this morning. You wouldn't think that buying one IPad would cause all this trouble. It has been, and still is, a nightmare with my husband's G-mail and Thunderbird Account. Hopefully the right Elaine will step forward on private Domains. Thanks for answering. Yvonne

I have nothing to suggest about private domain, some of our subscribers use them, hopefully they will respond. Yes, you will need to change your addresses. Just unsub with old address and sub with new address. Elaine It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit. --Harry S. Well I went through wards 1-4 again plus other Hamilton , and did not find Anna Decker (Mary) . I was on the look out for Nathaniel Hedges and his wife Katharien(Kate) Daugherty Hedges and family. Did not see any of the Hedges families, Daugherty Families, etc. Strange I never saw one of them. I can not see where they would have lived out of town or surrounding areas. Will check out outer Hamilton. Elaine, Am about ready to use a Private Domain for our emails. Can you recommend one? Also, that would mean our having to change our email addresses - correct? Thanks, Yvonne
George and any other interested helper, My husband is able to send and receive mail in G-mail but not in Thunderbird. In order for Lyle to access his G-mail account all he has to do is type in the url g-mail.com and his email account immediately comes up. He does not have to sign in with user name or password. It is apparent that G-mail is not popping the mail to Thunderbird or something like that. The message that pops up in Thunderbird states: Enter password for Lyle on Pop.googlemail.com but it will not accept "any" password even the one we recreated. What an absolute pain. Our ISP is Time Warner. Should I just try to create a new account???????? Please help us if you can. Thanks, Yvonne __________________________________________________________________________ On 4/18/2013 5:20 PM, George wrote: > He has his configuration wrong,, either that or his isp has his email blocked,, have seen this happen when somebodies email account gets hacked and a spammer starts sending tons of email. Gee, I must have just gotten lucky because I always run MalwareBytes updates mornings before I do anything else on the computers and again in the evening. Updated both times today without a hitch on both my pc and laptop. Go figure. Toni ----- Original Message ----- Thanks, Gini. People here might want to uninstall until this is straightened out. Did you have his password stored on your system?? George & the SixPAck -----Original Message----- From: Yvonne Strong Sent: Thursday, April 18, 2013 6:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [GN] G-Mail Woes Hi Everybody, We have a huge problem with G-mail on my husbands computer - hope I can explain this clearly. Yesterday we purchased an IPod. When we went to set it up in the store they used Lyle's G-mail address. He didn't know his password so we tried changing it and g-mail thought he had been hacked into. Anyway after a trip home and a trip back to the store we finally put the IPod under my name all is well with me. But! We are popping g-mail into Thunderbird for Lyle. So, when I went to gmail.com to test Lyle's new password a strange thing happened. I typed in the url and suddenly up came his g-mail account immediately without the window where you put in your user name and password. And- it's still that way he can get into his email account without using his username and password. So strange to me. I have Googled until I am blue in the face and find nothing at all that pertains to this problem. Can anyone help me. Should I delete his account off of Thunderbird or uninstall Thunderbird and try to create a new g-mail account and then pop into Thunderbird again????? How in the heck can I report this to G-mail? Appreciate your help in this frustrating situation. He has his configuration wrong,, either that or his isp has his email blocked,, have seen this happen when somebodies email account gets hacked and a spammer starts sending tons of email. Does he get and error message? if so what does it say? Who is his ISP?
