Has anyone done research on Henry Godfrey of Bedfordshire, husband of Joan Meppershall? The hints that I've found in The Publications Of The Bedfordshire Historical Record Society suggest the family may be of aristocratic origin. I'm currently looking through the Close Rolls and the Patent Rolls for more clues. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where to look? Henry lived in the 1400s. Peter D. A. Warwick
