But the question of software is not the same as the question of publishing. You can even have a private wiki, or if you prefer, just use google docs. The point of mentioning that software choice for online collaboration is a relevant question is that I know for a fact that multi-editor collaboration has gotten stuck every time anyone has tried it so far.
