I am traveling to northeastern Italy in September and plan to visit two villages where some of my ancestors came from. The villages are Grions and San Lorenzo. Grions is about five kilometres north of Sedegliano, and *this* San Lorenzo is about five kilometres southeast of Sedegliano. Sedegliano is north of Codroipo in Udine. The family from Grions is "Molaro" and the family from San Lorenzo is "Chiesa". Where should I visit? Churches and Cemeteries. I've never attempted genealogical research in Italy before, and I'm not even familiar with the basics. Do I need to do some advance groundwork before I go? Any advice? There are no Molaro listings in Grion nor San Lorenzo, but 23 Molaro listings in Sedegliano. There are no Chiesa listings in Grion nor San Lorenzo, but 4 in Sedegliano.
