    3. For years now I have been searching for the orgin of my grandparents. I know they came from Italy but have no idea WHERE in Italy. It "almost" has me on the verge of a break down ö. If anyone can help, I, and my family would be so very appreciate it. i never knew my grandfather, grandmother, father and aunt. As far as I know, all 4 have passed away and only my 3 brothers and 2 sisters are from the DeMarino side of the family. This is where all my research has begun and ended. GRANDFATHER Guiseppe DeMarino "De" on marriage records...DeMarino & Mereno on death cert., Mereno on SS app. Born---July 9,1883---Italy Died---Oct.3,1968--- SanLeandro, Calif. Father---Francis Mother---Rose K.???? Came to USA 1909-1912 Settled in Milwaukee,Wisconsin GRANDMOTHER Armida Anita Papi(s) Born---May 9 1896---Italy Died---Dec.12,1961---SanLeandro, Calif. Father---Guiseppe Papi(s) Mother---Anna N.???? Came to USA 1913 to marry my grandfather.(An arranged marriage) Married Feb.13,1913--Milwaukee,Wi. Father Clarence Marino Born---Jan.28,1916 No "DE" on birth cert. Died---Dec.3,1980---Alameda,Ca Aunt Kay?? born 1914, Mil.Wi. The family moved to Altoona, Pa. and were there in the 20's or 30,s. Moved to Calif in middle 40's . I do have 3 town's that show up on different documents but I was told there are no towns with these names in Italy. I do know my grandmother spoke french also. These towns are.. CREVE TIRENNZE, Italy SINLAO, Italy SAN MARINO, Italy. I checked the Republic of SanMarino This is the extent of my knowledge about my Italian family. My brother and I have talked about going to Italy to visit but until we know where the family were from,I really can't see taking the trip of a life time. All suggestions are welcome. You can find them by going to this site. http://www.multimap.com Could not find the other two towns. Will do some more searching and get back to you. Ellis Island records are at http://www.ellisisland.org. They show 5 Giuseppe DeMarino listings. Here are three that might fit. Especially the last one, using your birthdate info of 1883. The first name is mispelled.
