Hi Dee, DeMarino, sometimes written De Marino, is a rather uncommon name in present day Italy. The greatest concentration of this name in Italy is in the south in Puglia, around Naples, Rome and near Torino. However there are one or two DeMarino's located in Tuscany in the Firenze Region, and it seems to me that it is from here that your family originated. Of the town names you quote, I think that CREVE, TIRENNZE is really GREVE, FIRENZE, that SINLAO is really SILLANO and SAN MARINO is really SAN MARINO near TERNI, all of which are in or around Tuscany. Moved to Calif in middle 40's . I do have 3 town's that show up on different documents but I was told there are no towns with these names in Italy. I do know my grandmother spoke french also.
