Are there any Italians with the last > name Piante, particularly in Genoa? A look at the distribution of Italian names in Italy at http://www.gens.labo.net/ shows no Piante surnames. Piante means plants in Italian, so there are many commercial listings with this name, having to do with agriculture, I imagine. Italy phone directory on the Net at http://www.infobel.com/italy show no Piante people listings. There are some 59 Del Pianto listings. Good luck on your search. Joe in Texas
