Italy phone directory at http://www.infobel.com/italy has only 3 SCHIRATTO listings for the whole of Italy. Are you sure of the town in the Banat Region. Searching with Google does not give that many hits. The town in question is Kis Toszeg (Hungarian) in German Mastort and today Novi Kozarci in Romania. There are many SCHIRATTO families in the Veneto province as I have been informed by a Schiratto woman from the US but her familiy line is from Mollydorf and she has not been able to find the Italian "link". My great-greatgrandmother is Anna "Mitzi" SCHIRATTO from Kis Toszeg. See below.
