Most pointers are in USA, so that their main target is XIX and XX century, immigration, search for roots, and so forth. There are Australian and South American too, but very few Europeans. I am Italian, and I suscribed to they mailing list. They help each other, but are of little help for research in Middle Age or XV and XVI century. So, POINT is probably good for Italo-american, little for Italian people.
