Hello I am looking for anyone with information about Angelina Berendetto. born Sept. 8, 1893 somewhere in Italy. I can not find her immigration but she ended up in Elmira Chemung New York. Where she passed away on June 14, 1994.She was married to Serefeno Notarfonzo. There is a Angelina listed with a Vito on immigration coming in 1903. but the age is not correct. There are no surnames like this in the GENS site on the Internet at http://www.gens.labo.net/ Italy phone directory at also has no Beredetto nor Berendetto listings. But there are some Benedetto surnames in the phone directory and at GENS. We could not find Beredetto nor Berendetto at either Ellis Island, nor Castle Garden immigration sites. And there are 1,383 listings of Benedetto at Ellis Island. And we believe we see the Angelina Benedetto that you mention as being not of the right age, 17 instead of an expected 10. Is that correct? And did you just make a typo? Are we correct in assuming that the surname you are searching for is Benedetto? Joe in Texas
