There was an Italian consulate in Toulon, France during the second half of the nineteenth century. I found a record of a marriage in the civil records of an Italian town (Thures) that was a transcription of the original sent there from the consulate, apparently since one of the wedding party was born in that town. I would like to know where the Toulon consulate's records of marriages in the nineteenth century are kept (if they were) because I am seeking information on another marriage that was not reported to Thures. The consulate itself (if still there)? In Rome? Somewhere else? Thank you. Bob Bouvier
