    3. Hi there, I am searching for information on the family of Antonio Tognolini that arrived in Australia in 1874 on the Northumberland ship. He was born around 1850-55 in Tirano, Italy. According to his marriage certificate, his father's name was also Antonio and his mother's name was Madeline Tuni. If anyone could help I would be very grateful. Thank you. Narelle Tognolini Victoria, Australia.

    3. Hi Narelle, I am researching Stefano Tognolini who was my wife's grandfather. Stefano was born at Tirano about 1858 and was the son of Antonio Tognolini (1785-1874) and Maddalena Togni (c1825-1903). Stefano immigrated to Western Australia; and in 1902 in Perth he married Domenica Ambrosini, also from Tirano. Stefano may be a brother of your Antonio. I would be interesed in details of Antonio's marriage. Best wishes, Gordon Staples. Perth WA.

    3. Hi again Gordon, Unfortunately, I don't have much info on my Antonio. He arrived in Victoria when he came to Australia in 1874. He stayed in Ballarat for 10 years, then settled in Yandoit, married Annie Elizabeth Phillips and had about 13 children. I have some other info on another Antonio that came out to Australia. I will have to consult this and get back to you. The name Ambrosini is ringing a bell.
