Your great-grandfather's correct Italian name was Vittorio Cavicchiolo, and the correct name for his birth-town is Tombolo (homepage here: http://www.comune.tombolo.pd.it/ ), a town in the province of Padova, in the region Veneto. As of today, there are 27 Cavicchiolo's on the phone directory in Tombolo. If you want to, I may try asking them for a search for Vittorio's birthact.
