Any Murcano's left in Italy? There are a few in Greece. I think Murcano is a little Island in Venice where the Glass artists used to live before they were forced to migrate to Murano. George Tsambourakis 343 Major's Line Road Tooborac, Victoria 3522, Australia eachway@ozemail.com.au

Any source for this ? i couldn't find any mention to a place named Murcano on the web.
Originally, I found a references but I did not keep any records. Now, I find only one, when I use Google, and the word Murcano. It is a bit confusing because allegedly the residents of Murcano established the "village" of Murano. Murcano and Murano are very close. So, the question is: was there an "island" called Murcano? Does the family name "Murcano" exist in Italy today?/ -- Dr. George Tsambourakis 343 Major's Line Road Tooborac, Victoria 3522, Australia eachway@ozemail.com.au "Fabio Parri" <XXXparrif_ibbXXX@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:3d4fa184.10890029@News.CIS.DFN.DE... > On Mon, 5 Aug 2002 08:15:05 +1000, "GeeTee" <eachway@ozemail.com.au> > wrote: > > >Any Murcano's left in Italy?
