Dear Readers, The records in the church of my ancestral town (Colledimacine, Provincia di Chieti) were destroyed during WW2. I remember reading somewhere that local church records are sent to the diocese headquarters. Is anyone familiar with this concept? Does anyone know a time period during which this was/is commonly done? Thank you. -Tony Falcone
