Yep, some people here have surnames referring to the name of a place. That often (but not exclusively) happens with people who had Jewish ancestors (ex. Bologna, Rimini, Ravenna). Anyways, in Ack's situation, that doesn't seem to be the case, as it was his mother who called her sister like that, and the both of them should have carried the same surname (which I presume wasn't Ravenna, otherwise Ack wouldn't have remembered the particularity about his aunt)
