I don't know, I think that it is not such a bad thing to let people know that these genealogy items are available, one of them may have information on someones family, and in that case it would be priceless! If I do not like a post I see, or am simply not interested in it, I just delete it and go on. Some Rootsweb lists allow advertising, some do not. What I do not understand is, why it does not bother people if someone posts a message about an item they see for sale, thinking it may be of interest to someone else, yet if the seller of that item posts, everyone gets angry, what is the difference?
