I am searching for information on my great-grandfather and his family. My great-grandfather's name was Marco DeFilippis. He came to the U.S. in 1891. The ship manifest says his last known residence was Mendicino. My great-grandfather, Marco, said he was from Gaeta, Santa Maria. He had a brother named Joe. His death certificate listed his fathers name as Sevario and his mother as unknown. I need help in finding out more information on my great-grandfather, Marco DeFilippis. He was born January 1, 1869. Where is Gaeta, Santa Maria? Can anyone help me locate my family in Italy? I would like to know Marco's mother's name, if possible. I don't know where to obtain Marco's birth record in Italy.
