I agree that Rootsweb is probably the larger culprit here. When I signed on to my first Rootsweb list (I am probably a member of 5 or 6 - though only 4 are active lists) I remember being informed that my posts would be available through Rootsweb archives. I realize that I may be splitting hairs here but I believe that someone who takes the time to look in a Rootsweb archive is going to have to exercise some patience and dig through year by year, list by list. Conversely, a Google search is like retrieving the Thanksgiving Turkey, The Stuffing and the Platter all at once! vas575
