Hello, I am new to this list, my name is Judy and I am trying to research my Great Grandfathers family. His name was Antonio CONTESSA born about 1867 my mother believes he was from Turin near the river Po. He migrated to Australia and married in 1897 at the age of 30 years. (we do not know when he came out). His fathers name was Bernardo CONTESSA and mothers name was Maria (not sure of maiden name). I would like to be able to obtain his birth certificate and anything else about the family. My mother also believes they had a summer residence on one of the Island's called (La-Fonda).
