If a number of us feel Google has gone too far, maybe it would help if we all contacted them as individuals and requested they remove certain things we find to be an intrusion of privacy. Sharon ************************* Just did a google search on myself. I don't like this. I can accept a seach within the realm of Rootsweb. I find seaches via Google to be rather invasive upon my privacy. As it is, I have discontinued a practice of providing my last name and surnames I am researching. Heaven help anyone who uses their full name as their screenname. vas575 ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237

They, Rootsweb chose to make it appear that this is a "list" that they provide, it's not. Finally c. Rootsweb neglected to pass on some of the oldest and best advice on using the internet. If your becoming involved in any way with any of the thousands of newsgroups always doctor your email address so it can't be harvested by junk emailers; then never, ever use your real name. Frank F.
