Antonio I found a Vito Leogrande arriving on the ship "SS Berlin" arriving in New York from Naples on April 12, 1910 to visit his brother, Donato in Brooklyn, NY. The ship departed Naples on April 1st. He came from Bari Acquaviva (I'm sorry but I cannot read the correct spelling of the town) he was 22 years old and left his father Carlo in Italy. The manifest also had an annotation which might be a Alien Status Check #9-30312 - 6/19/41. He is listed on line 0016 page 27 of the manifest with additional information on the previous page if you can bring it up on the www.ellisislandrecords.com Does any of the above information match your family information? Mike, thank you for the informations about Vito Leogrande from Acquaviva. Unfortunately the Leograndes of Acquaviva, Provinz of Bari apparently do not belong to my family that is coming from Laterza, Provinz of Taranto. Best regards Antonio
Steve, thanks for the advice get a death certificate. For people not living in the USA a big problem is sending the money. The envelope method is not sure enough. The through a bank method produces much more costs than the pay dues. Regards Antonio
