    3. Hello Fellow Researchers, Forgive me but I have to give my $0.02 here. First of all, no one should be discussing or publishing any vital record of any living person whether it be in book form or online. All of you that use genealogy software should be aware that there SHOULD be an option in the program which enables you to hide information pertaining to a living person. This prevents the information from beingincluded in GEDCOM files or printouts. As far as information stated on listservers, I find no fault if my name is included as I automatcially sign each email. On many listservers, all posted messages are archived so one can search postings from day one. I have met fellow researchers because they recognize one of the surnames in my signature. Finding my name via a search engine does not upset me for I recognize all of the "hits" and they contain the information that I provided. Now if I had found my full name along with my birth date and social security number, that would have been a different issue. We all must use a little common sense when posting information on the world wide web. > > Vas575@aol.com wrote: > > > Just did a google search on myself.
