Good Morning I tried Vito Leogrande at the Ancestry site and came up with only one person. He was age 26 and living at Fair Haven Village, Rutland, Vermont. I also checked my Italians to America 1880-1893 and no one by that surname shows up coming to Ellis Island Marie Joan Huntley Ottawa Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: <josaun@webtv.net> To: <GEN-ITALIAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 10, 2002 5:55 PM Subject: Re: Looking for Leogrande Vito > If your grandfather left Italy after 1880, and you know his last place > of residence there,You could also request a Certificato di stato di > famiglia (family certificate) from the Ufficio Anagrafe there. I found many Leogrande's herehttp://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp There was a vincent Leogrande b. 16 feb 1887 and a Vito Pasquale Leogrande listed too. Just type in the surname, nothing else and then go down and click on to search. Joni Josaun@webtv.net http://wtv-zone.com/picks/texandy/charter.html

Great! That is wonderful. You matched my uncle Vito. He lived In Fair Heaven Village indeed. You write he was 26, but in which year? What a site did you visit? If he does not appear on the Ellis Island lists, where do you suggest can I look for immigration informations? I thank you infinitely, Antonio Leogrande
