What's worse is that many times one posts their mother's maiden name which is the main way the banks check who you are etc. What is also unnerving to is to buy something on line and see that the vendor already has your name and address.... If you post it maybe best to state your names and dates but not how they are related to you personally. I haven't thought of that in a long time because I am dealing with other countries and other centuries, but the people that are just beginning say things like "I am looking for my grandfather Joe smith lived in new York in 1922, Mother told me that they moved to Illinois in 1930..... there they have your mother's maiden name.
