Hello, I'm kinda new to all this, so forgive me if I ask something stupid. I'm looking into my family tree, and trying to find details about the parents of my grandfather, Torino Olivo, born in hackney, afraid I can't give an exact year, would estimate around 1920's, and who died circa 1985. I believe his father (of unknown name) emigrated to England from Italy (I assume), as I don't speak Italian, I am unsure where to start. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or by some small miracle be related, I'd be happy to take your advice. Many thanks Ian
Hi Spike I am sure the UK has death Certificates available that would be helpful. Also go to <www.familysearch.org> and see if there is any data available on that name. Also go to my family website http://www.dellarocchetta.com/ and on the Favorite Links Page and there is lots of research tools that are very helpful. Also read through the family site we believe it to be very interesting and informative. Hi I am sorry that I mis-spelled the name. It is Olivo and not Olivio. I did find information for Ian, but his Email bounced. If he wants to Email me, I will forward that information I found. Hi, I am new on this list. My name is Nicolaus Cibis and I am German. I search for the family of my wife. Her grandfather Luigi DA COL came in the latest 19th from Lentiai in the province of Belluno to Germany. Is there someone who makes researches in the same region? Nicolaus
Just a quick note to say thanks for your help guys. And thanks to those that mailed me too. Much appreciated.
