    3. No, it is not counter productive. It shows that information pertaining to your surnames is not on the internet. Genealogy cannot be researched via the internet with Google or any other search engine. One must obtain vital records, tax records, land and probate records and census records, most of which are NOT on the internet, especially for a foreign country.
