"Priscila Bearzi" <priscila.bearzi@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1138897019.812697.208510@g47g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... Hello! I'm Priscila Bearzi and I live in Brasília - Brazil, but my family came from Rio Grande do Sul where the italian imigrants arrived in my country in the beginning of the past century. So, I would like to keep contact with others BEARZI members because in Brasil this name isn't very common. Thanks! Bye Italy phone directory at priscila.bearzi@gmail.com has 178 Bearzi listings. If you know where your family came from, you could write or call those people in that town. The Brazil phone directory on the Internet at http://www.telelistas.net/ has about 58 Bearzi listings. So the name may be more common there in Brazil than you think. Good luck. Joe in Texas, USA joepessarra@cox.net

Robert, I don't know if this will be of interest to you or help at all, but there use to be a family in Medford MA named Scala. Wife's name was Loretta, and they had one daughter whose name I think was/is Maureen. Unfortunately I don't know husbands name. I don't even know for sure there still there. Maybe a phone directory(which I don't have)for Medford may help. Just an idea. Good Luck. I do know that the husbands parents and perhaps him too were born somewhere in Italy. Barbara

Greetings! This is my first post to the list. My grandfather Cesidio Malizia emigrated to the United States via Ellis Island on May 10, 1903, at the age of 16. He was born in Settafrati. I'm beginning the process of applying for dual citizenship with the hope of moving to Italy within the next five years. I'd be interested in hearing from other folks pursuing the same goal. Caio!
