Couldn't find any Gaudioso's or Delduca'sin Castelnuovo di Conza, in Salerno province. Anyways, there are a lot of people sharing these surnames in this province. Have a look here for Gaudioso's: http://elenco.libero.it/elencotel/public/RisultatoComuni.jsp?nome=&cognome=gaudioso&provincia=SA&prov=SALERNO and here for Del Duca's (the right form is Del Duca, not Delduca): http://elenco.libero.it/elencotel/public/RisultatoComuni.jsp?nome=&cognome=del$duca&provincia=SA&prov=SALERNO Hope it helps a little, Ciao Fabio
Hi Gerri I have found reference to that name not sure if this will help you. May I suggest something to you. It is difficult to research just 2 members of any given family. It works better that when you research the whole family they will come along with the research. I am not saying it is in possible just more difficult. I have found reference to both of these names. Go to this website ITALY GENEALOGY SURNAME NAVIGATOR Once in the site click on Italy and then type in the name leave all the checks active and click on search. Many site will appear on top of each other also 2 error messages appear just click on ok and they go away. Now work backwards through through the sites. They include the Italian phone book the last 2 sites have names click on them as they have more data in the background. You may find data in other countries? Visit my family website for more research sites etc. http://www.dellarocchetta.com/ Ciao Steve Gerri wrote: > I am researching my great-grandfather (Pietro) Vincenzo Gaudioso b > 1875 in Castelnuovo di Conza,(sp?)Italy; and my great-grandmother > Caterina Delduca b 1874. May I please ask for your help? I am searching for two ladies (or their legal heirs) who have a right to reclaim some property in Prague which was stolen by the Nazis in 1940. One of them must be dead - and I believe that her husband died in Rome. I have: Marie Krausova, nee Glaserova, born June 14, 1890, daughter of Adolf Glasser and Ida Glasserova, nee Munzerova. Last residence in Czechoslovakia was in Prague I., Konviktská 10. Her right of domicile was in Pirenne Rijeka (we are not certain of the spelling here, maybe Pierne Rjeka - but probably Fiume - Rijeka.) She married on March 22, 1923 in church office of Rieka a Mr. Hugo Kraus. She was Italian. He moved to Rome, Italy on March 1, 1950. So - I now need to try to find the DEATH CERTIFICATE for a Mr Hugo KRAUS some time after 1 March 1950. Can I possibly get that from Ufficio di Stato Civile Comune di Roma 00100 Roma (RM) Italy ??? Idf not - do you have a better suggestion?? Also - would you be able to find a FAX number and a telephone for them? I failed to do this from here in London. AND - Can I write in English - or would someone very kindly give me the translation into Italian? Please respond to my email address davidlewin@btinternet.com. I do not regularly subscribe to this news group. Thank you David
I am researching my great-grandfather (Pietro) Vincenzo Gaudioso b 1875 in Castelnuovo di Conza,(sp?)Italy; and my great-grandmother Caterina Delduca b 1874. Vincenzo came to Canada in 1909 followed by Caterina in 1911. Anyone with any information on these two, feel free to e-mail me. Thanks.
To iamspockiam: I live in Cincinnati, also. Are you researching Italian ancestry ? Maybe we have some common surnames. -- Bob M. Hi Chris I am sure there are many but the map we have had the most success with is The MICHELIN Tourist and Motoring ATLAS Italy. Also it can be used for a trip to Italy.
