Molto probabilmente Giuseppe e Francesca Lauricella erano fratelli. Qualcuno ha qualche notizia in proposito? Grazie Alessandro Vinti (PG)

Thanks Pietro, but GEMMA LERTORA surname is form her own family, not from her husband family. So, I think her descendants probably has a different surname, may be portuguese. Miss Lertora left Genoa at le beginning of 1900 (I don't know exactly the date and the ship). A little help, maybe... :) 1. You can ask Massa Carrara's Commune for Francesca Brosovich in Beni act of death. Her parents names should be in there (father and mother, which I think you're missing). Address: Stato Civile Delegazione di Avenza - Via Sforza - 54031 Avenza Tel: 0585 857287 e Fax: 0585 52409 (Avenza) From monday to saturday 8:30-12:30 2. For your great-grandfather Giuseppe Barba born in Chioggia, the nearest Family History Center (see on www.familysearch.org) has microfilms for its Civil Registration from 1871 till 1931, including: Births, marriage banns, marriages, deaths, residency records, ten year indexes, supplemental records. The records generally start in the month of September, 1871. You should be able to find a great deal about your ancestor Giuseppe Barba and his family. Good Luck and let us know ;) Hope it helps, Ciao, Fabio On Mon, 10 May 2004 18:20:14 +0000 (UTC), [email protected] ("Joseph Barba") wrote: >Hi, I having been searching for information on my grandparents family from the Island of Cres or Cherso to Italians in the area known as Istria in Croatia. I'm looking for information about my grandparents in Italy. The Rocco Labriola Family circa 1890's in the Forgia area, and the Aneillo Russo Family circa 1890's from Forenze. Thank you!
Hi, I having been searching for information on my grandparents family from the Island of Cres or Cherso to Italians in the area known as Istria in Croatia. So far I have not been able to find much more information so I am posting the information again in case some new has joined the group who might have some information. My grandmother Maria Elena Beni was born August 2nd, 1922 in Cherso, Province Of Pola, Italy and died September 21st, 1993 and buried in Thorton Cemetery in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. Her parents were Francesca Brosovich (might be Brosoni as the Croatians added "vich" to Italian last names) born May 23rd, 1897, died December 10th, 1975. Francesca's father's name was Guiseppe Brosovich (or Brosoni) b. Cherso, Italy. Francesca married Antonio Beni born January 12th, 1893 in Cherso, Province of Pola, Italy and died August 4th, 1971 in Avenza (MS), Italy. Antonio's father's name was Vincenzo Beni b. Cherso, Italy. My grandfather was Giuseppe Mario Barba born September 15th, 1921 in Ryeka, Yugoslavia and died October 13th, 2000 and buried in Thorton Cemetery in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. His father was Giuseppe Barba born about 1899 in Chiogia, Italy and died in 1957. His mother Matilda Meccatet (or Maccarolo, Macaroli, Maccarol, Mazzarol, Masarol) was born in about 1900 in Slovenia and died in 1970. Thanks for any help that anyone can give me. Joseph Barba
Also, you can find the percentages here: <http://elenco.libero.it/elencotel/public/RicercaPerProvince.jsp?nome=®ione=campania&cognome=cantalupo> and it looks like the 2 province in which there are more Cantalupo's are Salerno and Naples. Fabio
Hi Jill, 54,66% of all the Italian Cantalupo's actually live in the Campanian region, so it was very probable your ancestor came from there. This is made more probable as he boarded from Naples, which is in that region.
