2. Regina Aufm Kampe
    3. Hello, (sorry, I do not speak any Italian) I hope, that someone can help me on. Are there any churchbooks of the church, that was used by the family Medici ? It could be the Church San Lorenzo in Florenz/Firenze. I'm looking for a Turkish girl or woman, who was baptized before 1691, there she got the name Anna Maria Louisa Medici. She was born somewhere in Turkey and came to Italy later (how and why and when ?). There in Firenze, I think, she becomes catholic and got the new name. Her origin name I don't know. Probably one of her godparents has been the Princess Anna Maria Louisa de Medici, who married a German Cure Prince in Duesseldorf. The Princess took her to Germany as one of her chamber women, later (1704) she married my ancestor. Thanks for any help Regina (from Germany)

I found him on Genealogy.com as Anthony (34) Moncioni (no 'u') with his wife, Estella (37), and 2 children: Peter (2 1/2) & Nancy (2 months) at 223 East Fifth Street in NYC. I'm attaching the images for you to see -- there are 2 pages. Let me know if you have any trouble downloading them. Hope it helps! ~Susan :)

    1. RE: Finding DeMarino family
    2. Ken Baker
    3. Hi Dee, DeMarino, sometimes written De Marino, is a rather uncommon name in present day Italy. The greatest concentration of this name in Italy is in the south in Puglia, around Naples, Rome and near Torino. However there are one or two DeMarino's located in Tuscany in the Firenze Region, and it seems to me that it is from here that your family originated. Of the town names you quote, I think that CREVE, TIRENNZE is really GREVE, FIRENZE, that SINLAO is really SILLANO and SAN MARINO is really SAN MARINO near TERNI, all of which are in or around Tuscany. Hope this is of some help to you and let me know if I can be of further assistance. Regards, Ken in Brussels -----Original Message----- From: nanny1723 [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 2:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Finding DeMarino family For years now I have been searching for the orgin of my grandparents. I know they came from Italy but have no idea WHERE in Italy. It "almost" has me on the verge of a break down ö. If anyone can help, I, and my family would be so very appreciate it. i never knew my grandfather, grandmother, father and aunt. As far as I know, all 4 have passed away and only my 3 brothers and 2 sisters are from the DeMarino side of the family. This is where all my research has begun and ended. Moved to Calif in middle 40's . I do have 3 town's that show up on different documents but I was told there are no towns with these names in Italy. I do know my grandmother spoke french also. These towns are.. CREVE TIRENNZE, Italy SINLAO, Italy SAN MARINO, Italy. I checked the Republic of SanMarino This is the extent of my knowledge about my Italian family. My brother and I have talked about going to Italy to visit but until we know where the family were from,I really can't see taking the trip of a life time. All suggestions are welcome. 3. Regarding the three names Joe gave you. the only one who came to US in the date reange you told us is: Giuseppe De Marino, who arrived in 1911, aged 32y, single, on the Ship Berlin, which shipped from the port of Genua. He was from Firenze (Florence), which resembles your Tirrenze (probably a mispell) It's not much, unfortunately, maybe others will be able to help you more. Other things. It's not Guiseppe, it's Giuseppe. Also, Giuseppe's parents, Francis and Rose, were probably named, in Italian, Francesco and Rosa. Ciao Fabio
