In particular, the Commission for Social Justice has been tireless in its defense of our culture by, among other things, raising the awareness of an effort on the part of the entertainment industry to continue its demeaning stereotyping of Italian Americans. Television programming like The Sopranos and the upcoming release of the DreamWorks animated children's movie, Shark's Tale, are two examples of this insidious assault. Prisoners Among Us chronicles our assimilation into American culture in a uniquely powerful and POSITIVE way. We owe it to ourselves and our ancestors to actively support these kinds of projects. A $500 or $250 sponsorship of the September 12 screening in Atlantic City, attendance at the event and VHS and DVD purchases are all ways for us to "walk the talk." And, proceeds will directly benefit your Commission for Social Justice.

They say that as far as your request, they can not accept a bank draft because of certain change difficulties. (? did you send a five dollars bank draft?) They advise you to send a banknote of 5 euros ! Hi again, after posting last time, I picked up some more information on the family I'm researching. It looks like there are at least 3 Gust's emigrating from Italy, Bari area, town of Bittrito. Maybe more??? They are Edward Gust, born July 24, 1889, and his brothers, Frank, born 1883, and Joseph Gust, not sure of his birthdate. All of these gentlemen are produce salesmen in the Denver Colorado area. Edward marries Rose Veraldi, her birth is Nov. 5, 1894, Denver, Colorado. Any help with emigration would be appreciated! Any other info, welcome! Thanks so much! Karrin in CA
