According to this information, the first person to carry this surname was Martn Snchez Ramrez de la Piscina, son of Sancho Ramrez, grandson of the Infante D. Ramiro Snchez, married to Elvira, the daughter of the Cid, who inherited the Campo de Puelles, changing his name to that of Martn de Puelles. His descendants spread out throughout the Spanish peninsula (conquerors of Baeza), Canarias, Asturias, Galicia and America, in particular Per. Puelles is found in the kingdom of Navarra. You can find more details at that website, where the PUELLES coat of arms is also described:http://ciudadfutura.net/apellidos/origen2/PUELLES.htm My husband's ancestors are PULLS, but I am not sure if these two surnames have a common origin. I believe PULLS probably has its origins in PUGLIESE, Italy. Where are your PUELLES ancestors from? I am very interested. I am sorry I could not translate this into French, as my knowledge of the language is very limited. Patricia Fuentes de Pulls __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
