My ancestors were Sephardic Jews who fled from Spain to Peyrhehorade near Bayonne in Southern France and came in Amsterdam in 1694. Their family name is Del Valle and it probably was the name of a Spanish family Grande who gave their own name, they probably received it when they were baptised and conversed to christianity. This Del Valle name intrigues me and is there someone on this group who knows more about "Del Valle" or can direct me to some sources. Kind regards Rene van Wijngaarden/Netherlands
