    1. Re: Philippines' Family History
    2. We..the malvars of Batangas, Philippines have a site which features a bio of our national hero/ancestor Gen. Miguel Malvar. Since we only concentrated first on his children and his families..it was easier for us to build our tree. We did know who were my grandfather's siblings..and their children and who they married. Even then..hounding the relatives to submit their data took some time. There are some online resources which are available..that houses genealogical sites and surnmanes of people working on consolidating their ancestry. If you would like to get in touch with me..and give me your wife's last name and region where she comes from maybe i can help. Most surnames in the philippines..come from specific regions, even towns...so if it is an uncommon one, then your work is a lot easier. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/9121/personal.html is an address you can look up, there is also another resource center of distinct Philippine surnames, just do not have its url at the moment. Good luck in your research.. the one who dances with the wind [email protected] http://www.malvar.net Got my balisong knife, my pina embroidered fan...some buko pie..strong barako coffee...heaven...bliss > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
