Hola: Te responderé de memoria, a ver qué tal: Es apellido de origen etimológico vasco. Existen varias explicaciones sobre su significado, alguna de ellas lo relaciona con la raiz para "oso". Este nombre lo llevaron (como nombre de pila) varios reyes y personajes ilustres, por lo que está muy extendido por toda la península, islas e iberoamérica, sin que se pueda establecer ni un origen común, ni una ubicación geográfica específica. Ha excedido su origen primario vasco. Bueno, de seguro alguien facilitará el supuesto escudo heráldico, y el supuesto origen específico de todos los García. Yo me limito a comunicar lo poco que sé, pero real. Sigo animando, siempre que sea posible, a realizar una investigación particular remontando la genealogía de padres, abuelos, bisabuelos... Es lo más remunerador e interesante. Pero claro, esa es mi opinión. Espero que lo dicho sea útil y de interés. Saludos.
