More bad news to report today, I'm starting to feel like I'm in a bad dream. A tornado touched down in Pittsburgh, inside of an amusement park (about the size of Six Flags). The park has been the site for the tri-county areas' school picnics for well over 50 years. Today was our school district's day (I guess over 2000 families), along with two other large school districts. So far there has been one confirmed dead (eight year old little girl) 12 children are in surgery at our Children's Hospital, and atleast 60 others injured. The place looks like a war zone, amusement rides collapsed, roofs ripped off of pavilions, cars over turned, etc. Praise the Lord, we didn't go today, probably only the fourth time in my life that I've missed the school picnic. Last nite the weather report was calling for thunder storms, this morning's weather report said the same so Tom told me it was my decision to make. I chose to stay home even though I felt so guilty about having the boys miss it. The tornado continued on its path and came within a mile of my house. It's the first time in my life that I had to grab the kids, the pets and run for the basement. We're still waiting word on the victims, no names have been released yet and it's been over five hours.
