Angela, Time for you to stomp your English feet and show your temper! I remember how badly you suffered last summer from the heat and humidity. Does Kostas work in air conditioning??? Tom isn't a big fan of air conditioning either except to sleep but I can't do without it. Two weeks ago we had a very hot and humid spell (over 90°f), the ac wasn't turned on yet and I literally passed out in my dining room. We have a 25 X 5 feet deep pool for the kids which certainly helps but the thrill of it wears off quickly. I can't imagine how much crankier they would be without the relief of the ac all summer. Do you think Kostas would agree to just ONE window unit, in one room for you and the kids? I always thought air conditioned air was healthier as it has filters on it that cleans the air. Remember that fish you worked so hard to prepare for him several months ago? He owes you a favor :) Sue* ----- Original Message ----- > Hi frances, > > the temperature is starting to climb already but no humidity YET ! > that's the killer as there's no respite at night either. > They always measure the temp in the shade, which I think is stupid > the hottest they claim is about 45 deg.C but I know it has been 50 Deg > in August. > For approx 3 months is will always be over 40 deg. > It wouldn't be so bad if it only lasted for 6 weeks or so, that I could > bear. > > Mike will have it far worse, but in Saudi most houses have air conditioning. > My husband refuses to put it saying it's bad for our health. > The heat I know is bad for my health. > > Best wishes > angela --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
