Brian, I suspect that this is not strictly true. I suspect you of listening to some programmes on radio 2. We listen to it on Sunday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. Mostly we have Radio 3 (the old Third Programme) on in the car, and in the house too, and hear some of our favourite music on there. Switch it off when they get too "modern" (modern classical music hasn't come in to its own yet) Marj > > Because I go to bed early I switch off Radio 4 even though it is the only > radio station for me, just because of that programme. The only Radio 2 programmes I listen to are [1] the one which gives the free pens. Don McLean is an old pal [and he gives out the free pens] and [2] the Lost Friends programme [I can't remember what it's called] by Steve Wright [I think}. There you go - you DO listen to Radio 2! What about 8.30 pm - "Sunday Half Hour", followed by Alan Keith with "Your 100 Best Tunes", and then a lovely dance band program with 30s and 40s music? Sunday evening wouldn't be the same without them! Marj > The only Radio 2 programmes I listen to are [1] the one which gives the free > pens. I surrender! May the Lord protect me from women with good memories but I was trying to make my point about that ridiculous Archers rubbish.
