My mother was like that. She died at 63 of smoking related heart problems in 1985. Since many people in her family live into their 80's I think she might have been here yet if she had not smoked. Being a cardiac cripple was not much fun either and her quality of life was bad for the last two years. So don't deprive yourself of around 10 years of life by reacting to other people, please.
