Angela, Well......yes and no. To say that a President isn't groomed for office isn't really an accurate statement. Our Presidents *usually* come from strong political families and are reared towards holding a political office. It's not their birthright as in a Monarchy, the office isn't handed down to them, and if they make too many mistakes, they won't be having Washington, DC, printed on their return address labels. That's not to say we haven't have some less than reputable people holding high offices, we surely have, but then we can either vote them out of office or have them tossed.
