    1. Fw: [Gen-Friends] Vicky's terrible fall!!
    2. Vicky Ballantine
    3. Well Frances, no they didn't send me home with meds, I had to go to our local Wal-Mart and pick them up. They worked for a while but I'm getting used to them now. The bone specialist is in Omaha, 80 miles from here, and only in Denison once a week. Ice packs and meds are their idea of comfort, and a walker which John had to fetch from a local drug store as well. My mom will be bringing her's down tomorrow for my use. My daughter had a fit when she was informed. She wanted to come and get me and take care of me at her house. NO. She has two little ones, a blazer [van type car] which rattles everytime you look at it, and a bossiness she got from me. We clash at times--Thanks for your well wish's-- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frances Myette" <divafran2000@yahoo.com> To: <GEN-FRIENDS-L@rootsweb.com> Vicky, we are all so sorry to hear of your more than 'disastrous fall'...and our thoughts and good wishes will certainly be with you until you're 'on the mend'...I was absolutely amazed that they even sent you home!!...You're not 21 gal!..I would think they would have kept you in hospital whereby they could treat you much better for pain and let the 'bone specialist' attend you there, or, at least arrange that you be taken to see him/her. As you say...you BROKE your knee and TORE a muscle...plus, fell so hard on your wrist which you are still 'getting over from a break only 5 weeeks ago'....!!....It seems the 'same' everywhere...in, look at you, and 'ship you out'....PLUS, you say you 'had to find some drugs'....did they not send you home with something from the hospital pharmacy .... My prayers are with you Vicky that you will be able to make a quick and full recovery.... Frances --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
