I'm afraid all this psychology lark goes right above my head. I can't imagine ever having to resort to unloading my innermost privacies to others. Someone suggested it was a male thing to have been programmed from birth to cope with ones own problems privately. Could be a lot in that. A lot of these strange therapy ideas originated in America like the funny religious sects did. Jesus Christ was a psychologist Jim, if you think about it. Jim, in days gone by, before the ultra-mobile society we now live in, the "psychologists" of the world were our extended family, Grandfather, great uncle Fred, as well as the elders of the village and church. The wisdom of the older generation what listened to and appreciated... Now we pay people to be our extended family and our village elders... Strange way of doing things, if you ask me! Just another soggy Seattle Sysop. -----Original Message----- From: Jim SHARPE [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2002 3:08 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [GEN-FRIENDS] from today's Telegraph I'm afraid all this psychology lark goes right above my head.
