Marged!..I agree l00% with this writing. Yes, it absolutely does help when one is perhaps in a time of crisis..whether it be sickness..or..a change in one's life that has become somewhat difficult to cope with at the time of it happening ...I also have read and do understand that this works very well especially for women..more so than men..as they do tend to internalize these any unhappy event/crisis/change...due to a line of thinking..."I can handle..work this out...myself" ..which in my opinion is an "extension" to the admonitions as a young child..'little boys don't cry' .... We 'can cry' if we are emotionally hurt ..and for valid reasons for a temporary state of depression...why not?? We were ..All..blessed with 'tear ducts'...and all the same emotions ...be we female or male...it makes no difference...Yes, some it helps by 'writing down their feelings'... others..to speak with someone personally either in person,,or, by phone...but, speak about your feelings is always the best way of returning back to the avenue of good health..both mentally and physically!! This is my humble opinion...and yes, Marged, I agree with you that I too have had times when this was the only way to 'get on with life'... Best wishes to all ~!
